Introduction
I'm a mac halo demo modder from Macgamingmods.com (at least that's what I am in relation to this site...). Anyways, I haven't made many mods nor many tutorials, so basically I haven't been much use despite my long history with the game.
My Name
zapconquest is an odd username if you ask me, so how'd I pick it? Here's the story: At the age of 13 or 14 I decided that it might be really awesome if I were to play runescape (having recently decided that neopets suck [excuse my language]). So, I get to the choose your runescape username with no idea what my name should be, but also determined that it should be something cool. I decide that I need outside inspiration, so I ask my brother what I should use for my username. Luckily for me, he had recently read a short-story about computer printers taking over the world, so he told me to make my name printerconquest. I eagerly ran back to the computer and attempted to type these 15 characters of epicness into the little input field. To my dismay, it didn't fit. So, I checked how many characters I could have, and after 'conquest' there was only room for 3, so I quickly thought: "what's a cool three letter word?!." The rest is history.
What I Know
To sum it up: I used to know how to hex-edit (back before eschaton), I can swap dependencies and meta-edit stuff fairly well thanks to Eschaton, I can inject models, and I can move scenery and spawn points around and make teleporters thanks to SwordEdit, as host I can hack to make people faster/slower and some other nifty stuff using The Cheat, and I can beta test other people's mods. (sorry, don't know how to make lists in this thing yet)
My Mods
As I said above, I haven't made many mods, as you can now see below:
The Past
Mods that, I'm sad to say I've given up on, include: -A hex-only mod to show that hex is cool and not as limited as was once believed over at MGM (it was also considered very cool back then to know how to do stuff with hex and not use tools). -A new map based heavily on flying.
The Future
In the future, you could expect several of the following from me: -Completion of the mods I "gave up on" in the past. -Remakes of my older mods -New Maps (I'm actually working on this right now, but hold your horses: progress is slow)
The next mod release I make will probably be in the summer or near there, when I don't have school.
Other Stuff
Halo-Related
-I have never played halo 3 -I'm terrible at sniping -The mods I enjoy the most are: The Log Mod (base builder), The Island, all the new maps that Kayar has made, The Great Wall of Gulch, Twilight, and Bloodgulch II
Non Halo-Related
-I spend most of my computer time on my ubuntu-linux-running computer. -Team Fortress 2 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl are currently my two favorite video games other than halo. -When the weather's good I play soccer or try to skateboard -I think that Italo-Western movies are amazing. At least two-thirds of the time when I watch them, I think to myself: "This is the most epic thing ever produced by humans." This thought is followed by the thought that "we can only go downhill from here." I quickly shove this last thought out of my mind and move on. -Pizza is my favorite food. Mushroom and Peperoni, Hawaiian (Ham and Pineapple), and Barbecue Chicken are my favorite American varieties, but I hear that in Italy they put a huge variety of topings on theirs, and that's something I really want to try. -I can speak French a bit
